GE needed to communicate to its employees in all business units around the world the absolute, critical importance of safeguarding the company's data, proprietary information, computer systems, and communications network. They needed a compelling communications piece that could be easily understood by people with varying levels of technical knowledge and experience.
Solution:
Have people with instantly recognizable authority and credibility in the subject matter tell the bulk of the story. To that end, we interviewed information security and technology experts within and from outside the company, including GE's CIO, Gary Reiner, as well as the former head of security for the Central Intelligence Agency, Dr. William Kotapish. These interviews are supplemented by dramatic footage shot on location at various GE businesses and by a dynamic recurring animation graphic key-in-lock sequence.
Tech Specs:
We shot the interviews on Chroma Green for eventual composite in post. Graphics combined 3-D key and lock elements with After Effects Animations for titles and section titles. GE Corporate Television provided GE commercial footage and video footage from its stock library to augment new footage shot on location.
