GE consumer products, such as kitchen appliances, have been well known brands in China for a long time. Less well known there is GE's broad range of businesses and the benefits of partnering between GE and local Chinese businesses and industries. The company needed a video they could take on the road and show to Chinese business and government leaders which would communicate these benefits and demonstrate GE's long-standing commitment to maintaining a strong local presence in China and working closely with Chinese business and industry in a way that would benefit China's economy.
Solution:
Highlight the significant investments GE has made in China to date, as well as the accomplishments of GE's Power Systems, Transportation Systems, and Aircraft Engines & Services businesses in improving China's energy and transportation infrastructure.
Tech Specs:
This video combines a variety of visual sources, including location footage from numerous GE projects in China, existing footage from GE archives, and still images provided by GE businesses that operate in China. The stills were used as building blocks to create several After Effects animation sequences. The narration was recorded in English and in Mandarin Chinese. Graphics were also produced in both languages. All editing and post production was completed on a Media 100.
