Our mission was to continue a process we'd begun earlier with GE of spreading the word about the company's e-commerce and web-enabled capabilities to customers, industry analysts, and potential investors. The message was that GE is at the forefront of e-commerce and furthermore, GE's unique combination of "click & mortar" -- i.e., their combination of traditional business strengths, such as fulfillment services, product quality, and in-depth resources, coupled with leading edge web technologies make GE the preferred on-line supplier and/or business partner. Solution: In this case, the medium is the message as much as anything. We produced a fast-paced 2-minute video for distribution on business-card-sized CD-ROMs for distribution at meetings, trade shows, and other corporate or industry events. We interviewed e-commerce business leaders and experts within GE from various location and business units worldwide to tell the story in a compelling manner.
